War – or ‘Rogue Nation’, as the film was called here in the Netherlands – may not be the most iconic of the films, but the fact that a car is played in a film is simply cool. While War was not Oscar material, it featured famous actors. The lead roles were played by Jason Statham and Jet Li. The latter splashed with a Dutch car: a silver-colored Spyker C8 Spyder. At the moment, the only Spyker C8 from War is currently for sale in the Netherlands. It does not often happen that a Spyker is for sale and the fact that this copy has appeared on the silver screen makes this occasion even more special. The C8 Spyder was the very first model of Spyker. Spyder came earlier than the coupe version. The C8 shares its engine with another famous movie car. Spyker has the same 4.2 liter V8 as the Audi S8 from Ronin. In Spyker, this block does not produce 360 hp but 400 hp. This art on wheels can reach a top speed of 300 km / h. That speed is not achieved in the film, but we get some nice action shots where the C8’s wide donkey goes in all directions. Jason Statham and Jet Li end up in a Bullitt chase at some point. The cars in question are not a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Charger, but a Chevrolet Chevelle SS and a Spyker C8 Spyder. We will not reveal how it ends, you can see for yourself below.
