This time we are not going to talk about Victor Muller but about a Spyker. An extra special nail. We asked yesterday: which cars from movies and series have made an impression? This resulted in many reactions and even more cars. However, Dutch cars were hardly or not at all among them. Not surprisingly, there is hardly anyone or no one at all. Yet it was a person who had national honor. @moosecar named Spyker C8 from the movie War. War – or ‘Rogue Nation’, as the film was called here in the Netherlands – may not be the most iconic of the films, but the fact that a car is played in a film is simply cool. While War was not Oscar material, it featured famous actors. The lead roles were played by Jason Statham and Jet Li. The latter splashed with a Dutch car: a silver-colored Spyker C8 Spyder. At the moment, the only Spyker C8 from War is currently for sale in the Netherlands. It does not often happen that a Spyker is for sale and the fact that this copy has appeared on the silver screen makes this occasion even more special. The C8 Spyder was the very first model of Spyker. Spyder came earlier than the coupe version. The C8 shares its engine with another famous movie car. Spyker has the same 4.2 liter V8 as the Audi S8 from Ronin. In Spyker, this block does not produce 360 hp but 400 hp. This art on wheels can reach a top speed of 300 km / h. That speed is not achieved in the film, but we get some nice action shots where the C8’s wide donkey goes in all directions. Jason Statham and Jet Li end up in a Bullitt chase at some point. The cars in question are not a Ford Mustang and a Dodge Charger, but a Chevrolet Chevelle SS and a Spyker C8 Spyder. We will not reveal how it ends, you can see for yourself below. Provided you are older than 12 years. In addition to a C8 Spyder, the film also included a C12 LaTurbie, which has a real W12 under the hood. And those were not the only times a Spyker was seen in theaters. In Basic Instinct 2, Sharon Stone drives a C8 Laviolette (which was sexier than ever) and also in Fast & Furious 6, the C8 has a como. But yes, which car does not? Back to this occasion: Unfortunately, this copy does not have a signature from Jet Li or Jason Statham. The car has a signature of (we must mention his name) Victor Muller. So he explains that it really is the Spyker C8 from the movie War. The only question is what it’s worth. Anyway, at least we didn’t go down without explaining ourselves first. Those who also want to hang out with Jet Li can knock on the door of DTMobility in Oisterwijk. There, this Spyker is for sale for a price of just under three tons.
